Surfing in
the web I found a video of Alanna Shaikh, a global health and development
specialist. In her video she explains how she’s preparing to get Alzheimer’s.
She
considers three things in her preparation:
1. Changing the hobbies. Doing any
fanny activity for amuse herself, for being happier, for enjoying her life.
2. Working the physical strength. Doing
yoga for example, for preparing her body
to physical symptoms of Alzheimer
3. Being a better person. She says: “I
need a heart so pure that if it’s stripped bare by dementia, it will survive”.
I was
interested this video because it made me think how I would face up to any
mental disease. I think that there are some mental diseases a lot more close
us, like depression, that we can get it in any moment, even when we are young.
The life puts much uncertainty, and then we need to live better, but not will
prepare to get a mental disease. We need to enjoy our life with the people and
things that we want. In this context I agree with the idea of being better
person, doing funny hobbies, and doing physical activities.
Hi viviana!
ResponderEliminarI was reading your post and i didn´t understand why Alanna is preparing for Alzheimer´s. Can you explain this please?.
Well it was interesting the idea to prepare yourself for a mental or neurodegenerative disease but....how can we know if we are going to suffer one of those diseases?. The best idea of all, is to be a better person, and all that you write at the end of your post.
Greetings! see ya.
Viviana, I am completely agree with you, we have to enjoy ourself and practice physical activities, but most of the time people really takes care of this when they have some desease.
